The H Is Not a Typo
Why the first riddle answer is hidden in the site's own name.
The first unlock should reward attention before it rewards technique. That is why the site title carries the opening answer: Synching, not Syncing.
Why this matters
The Human Witness layer is the ethical brake on the archive. If players notice the H, they are not just solving a word puzzle. They are discovering what the project removed in order to run faster.
Why it stays fair
A good opening clue should survive multiple reading styles:
- a player who reads the copy closely
- a player who compares page labels
- a player who checks the field guide before guessing
The clue is repeated often enough to be findable, but not so loudly that it stops feeling like evidence.
